Dear arts colleagues:
Open Studios will be celebrating its 3Rd ANNIVERSARY
Below is a =93CALL TO ARTISTS=94 for creative souls with home studios or=
alternative spaces in the Lower French Quarter, the Treme, Marigny, and=
Bywater neighborhoods of New Orleans. Open Studios will take place the=
weekend of December 8-9, 2007 from Noon to 5PM.
In December of 2004, myself, and artists such as Ze daLuz, Pati D=92Amic=
o, Elizabeth Shannon, and Rosemary Kimble helped to establish the first =
Open Studios event. This next incarnation will mark the 3rd Anniversary=
of this grass-roots artist-run project, and we are grateful to a new gr=
oup of artists who have volunteered to keep Open Studios alive. They in=
clude Christine Haupert-Wemmer, Lisa Suarez, Jessica Radcliff, Bedonna W=
akeman, and Lord David.
If your home studio or alternative space is in one of these four downtow=
n neighborhoods, we invite you to join us for a unique arts experience. =
Details are below on how to register through the web site at www.openst=
udioartists.org. =
Please forward this email to any artist friends you know in these four n=
eighborhoods. Our goal is to have Open Studios grow, and offer opportun=
ities to other artists who may never have been involved, or are newly ar=
rived to our post-Katrina village. =
Gracias, Ash=E9, and thanks =
