SOME NEW YORK QUALITY TRAINING THAT IS COMING THE CHATTANOOGA THIS SUMMER
Michael Blevins will be coming to Center Stage Dance Company thi summer. He
will be teaching a 6 day camp that will be held this summer running from
MONDAY, JULY 15-SATURDAY, JULY 20. Advanced Master Classes in Tap, Jazz, and
Musical Theater will be held from 1:00-5:00 daily.
WHO IS MICHAEL BLEVINS? Michael Blevins is an internationally known teacher
and director in the performing arts and holds the honor of working hand in hand
with Nicole Fosse and her children on various projects (Bob Fosse daughter and
grandchildren). Michael has worked with many Oscar, Emmy, and Tony winning
directors and choreographers including Danny Daniels, Bob Fosse, Woody Allen,
Vivian Matalon, Joe Layton, and Richard Attenborough. He has appeared with
Michael Douglas, Brooke Shields, James Coco, Victor Garber, Bebe Neuwieth,
Chita Rivera, Donald O'Conner, and Jason Alexander. Michael is most widely
known for his portrayal of Mark in the screen version of "Chorus Line." He has
directed and choreogrphed over 65 full scale productions in his seven year
stint with the Young Performers Workshop in New York and New Jersey. In
addition he has directed National Tours for the American Family Theater,
choreographed music videos for Amy Grant and Melba Moore, five national
commercials and the off-Broadway production of "The Mad Forrest" as well as his
own show, the musical "Dance With Me." Mr. Blewins' Browadway credits include
roles in: Bring Back Birdie, Neil Simon's Little Me, and the Tap Dance Kid.
Televised appearances include several Commercials, the Tony Awards Show, and
numerous specials for the CBS, NBC, AND ABC. Feature film credits include:
Zelig and Chaplin starring Robert Downey Jr.
Center Stage is excited to have Mr. Blevins coming to the Chattanooga Area and
all dancers are invited to attend. Class schedule is listed below and
registration forms will be available by request. For more information or to
register by phone with a credit card call 451-9912 Mon - Fri after 4:00 pm
throught May 30th. After May 30th, call 344-5720. Thanks!!
