I¹m so grateful to hear through the vine that you two, and the NPN staff did
make it out of NO. I¹m forwarding this list of potential resources for N.O.
Artists who may be in need of financial help. While some of these require
membership, others like the Actors Fund of America do not. But these are the
are the only organization that specifically help the ?entertainment¹ field.
Aside from money and housing, please let me know how can the arts community
can help our colleagues?
You both are big in my thoughts as is the population of NO. I trust you are

Actors Fund of America:
Provides financial assistance to performing artists.
If you are a professional in the entertainment industry in need of emergency
assistance due to Hurricane Katrina, please call The Actors' Fund at

Society of Singers: Financial Aid
SOS helps singers who have financial needs resulting from personal, medical
or family crises. Charitable grants may be provided for basic needs
including rent, utilities, medical/dental expenses, substance abuse rehab,
psychotherapy and HIV/AIDS treatment. Grants are always paid directly to
creditors. SOS is unable to provide assistance for credit card debts, tax
debts, loans, voice lessons, demos, head-shots and other music projects.
ELIGIBILITY Any individual who has derived his or her primary income as a
professional singer for five years or more may qualify for services.
The Southern Arts Federation has established an Emergency Relief Fund to
assist arts organizations and artists residing in Gulf Coast communities
most devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Distribution and decisions on the use

members. But it has been opened for non-members to help with housing swaps
for those displaced by Katrina.
