Ten remarkable women with HIV from Cape Town's Bambanani women's =
collective step out of the shadows to tell their personal stories in =
words, paintings and photographs. These women have created BodyMaps - =
beautiful, life-sized renderings that articulate their individual hopes =
and sorrows. Woven within these thirteen tales is the tireless struggle =
of the health-care workers and campaigners - in particular Medecins Sans =
Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) and the Treatment Actions Campaign =
- whose battle against apathy of the government and the pharmaceutical =
industry is as moving as the tales themselves.
