G7IZU RRD NEWS - 01 MAY 2010

TVE-1 Navacerrada on 48.250 MHz closed down on April 9th at 23h UT. This was 
another nail in the radio-meteor coffin and it was not welcome! My one reliable 
signal source is now Muro, Portugal, on 55.250 MHz. Other transmitters outside 
my meteor range remain on-air in Russia, Italy and Iceland and some other 
countries.

Meteor rates were increasing towards the end of April with activity from the 
Eta Aquarids shower. Sporadic-E activity is also on the increase. The sun has 
gone a little quiet again, but further bursts of activity remain a strong 
possibility!
