The system has performed well this month, with only a few short outages being experienced. Meteor rates have remained mostly low to active, which is normal between January and mid-April, thanks to the lack of meteor showers at this time of year. The second live spectrogram page (live_b.html) has been re-born again, since I aquired a VLF converter. This converter translates the frequencies 0-500 kHz upto 28.000 to 28.500 MHz and can be received on a normal receiver. My intention is to use it to monitor "natural radio", ie. whistlers and Sudden Ionospheric Disturbances (SIDs). I don't yet have a suitable aerial to overcome man-made noises (ie. mains hum) so at present I'm monitoring various VLF transmitters above 20 kHz.
