[adaptivetec] Virus

Hello!
I have been keeping an address list in Excel on my desktop.  My virus scan 
found a virus in this file.  Now, the whole file is in the virus vault in AVG.  
I had recently put someone's  e-mail address in my excell list.  Can I get my 
phone list back?  I also had the virus in my back-up, so now they are both gone.
Thanks for any help.  I am not going into that virus vault without some 
instructions! The virus was Exploit.
