Ila,
Then I'd try recording all the property settings for that account,
remove it and recreate it. Be sure to Control Tab among the various
pages as the Properties dialog is a multi-tabbed dialog.

Dear Roberto,
No, I only have one email account set up.
I found what you were talking about after I sent you the previous
response to your email.
The only thing that I can think of is that on the one account that I
have listed is that there is no name, password, etc. located in the
information for the account.
It does work if I press the escape key and get out of the dialog box
where it seems to want these things filled in!
But, it does work without the information put in it.
So I guess I will just leave it as is.
Thanks very much for the information.
Best regards,
Ila

Ila,
One reason could be that you might have an additional email account set
up that isn't properly authenticating. In the Tools menu, arrow up to
Email accounts and press Enter. Check that there is only one account
listed in the listbox. If there are more than one then you need to
determine which one is the "good" one and remove the other one. The
properties button (Alt P) will allow you to view and change the settings
for the account so that you can locate the problem account (assuming
there is one). Once you have the problem account selected in the
listbox, press Alt R to remove it. Good luck.

Subject: [adaptivetec] HOW COME I GET AN SEND/RECEIVE ERROR MESSAGE
WHEN...
Dear List,
When I am in Outlook and I am in the Inbox a lot of the time I receive
something that says, "send/Receive Error."
I end up just closing Outlook and reopening it again and sometimes just
pressing Control plus M will bring up any messages that are there.
Is there anything I can do about this problem?
Best regards,
Ila
