After my last message we discussed with many people from different
countries the problems connected with the issue of art accessibility.
And an interesting decision was found. It can seem improbable, but it is
possible.
We hope the following information will be useful for you.
We propose to everybody who is actively interested in the problem of
accessible art to participate in the program of creating of the
world-wide distributed tactile gallery. This new international project
will allow to create tactile galleries which are necessary for blind
people in many countries of the world .
In Russia as well as in many other countries this issue has a low
financial support but at the same time mass media like to speak about
it.
It has allowed us to establish the project which can attract public
attention to the problem and to involve money of sponsors.
We think it is possible to find at the each country:
1. an artist who wish to become known at different countries soon and to
earn money from his artistic work;
2. a sponsor interested in the local market who wish to have wide
positive advertising of his trade mark by spending a very few money.
The way to achieve this goals is the creation of the tactile gallery
with wide public access (for sighted people together with the blind) and
with art works of artists from different countries. We estimate that
such gallery with e.g. 100 relief copies of world masterpieces will
costs not more than 10000 US dollars (if to use an opportunity of an
exchange between different galleries). It is attractive for a sponsor
for this total is lesser than one-time shown TV-spot. According to our
experience an event of opening of such haptic gallery always have a high
attention from all mass-media.
Now the program is on the beginning and all details can be discussed to
find the best way. We shall appreciate any your critique and comments.
The more countries and artists will take part in this program, the more
interesting galleries in the countries participating in the project will
be .
Recently I spoke with the managing director of the British company
Delcam which is known in the world by the software for 3-D modelling. He
has informed me that his company will be glad to help the program
realization.
We shall be glad, if people from different countries will take part in
the project. More detail about the project it is possible to read at

Please do not hesitate to ask any your questions.
