Dear Lisa, do they really believe there is a way to "safely" shut down the
brain? I can't believe there are no risk to this kind of invasion. Just
because we can't see magnetic waves and just because brains can come back
doesn't
convince me that there is no risk. Perhaps the rewards are worth the risk but
surely we should acknowledge there are risks. What do you think?
I was at the Getting In Touch With Literacy conference and heard that
some of your colleagues were there but I wasn't able to find them. I wish I
had,
I would have sent a book back with them. I was very busy, I had a table in
the exhibit hall and I gave a presentation and workshop. I miss many of the
people that I wanted to talk to. I think I will just attend the next
conference
so that I can concentrate on finding the people I want to meet.
Did you go to England for their conference? How was it? We had Lisa
Fitzpatti attend ours, she is a painter who is blind. very interesting talking
to her. I had to go teach my workshop so I couldn't talk long but she said she
would get in touch. I hope she does.
I have the books finally. I am going to make an announcement to the list
as soon as my web site is together. What a journey. All my best to you. I
hope you are enjoying your holidays. Ann
