[accessibleimage] comic strip in tactile graphics

The editing department of the « City of Sciences and Industry? in Paris
has recently published in its series ?A voir et à Toucher? (in English:
?See and Touch?) a 7th book: ?Lagaffe touch?.

In the framework of the Exhibition ?Le monde de Franquin? (Franquin?s
world) proposed at the City of Sciences in Paris from 19 October 2004 to
31th August 2005, Lagaffe ? yes! Gaston himself! the hero created by the
Belgian artist André Franquin! ? discloses a few of his secrets in a
book designed for fingers, ears and eyes: the tactile graphics present
us with some graphical principles of comic strip: caricature, sound,
speed, movement, time, balloons and framing.

Sound illustrations are scattered through the text of the audio CD that
guides us through Franquin?s work and style. It also invites us to
discover the development of comic strip since its origins.

graphics in four-color printing.
