I saw Esref drawing at the VSA Festival in Washington, DC last year.   At 
that demonstration he used a pencil or pen on a large newsprint drawing pad 
held 
up on an easel.   He drew firmly enough to raise the lines.   He would draw 
with one hand and check his work with the other.   At one point he was given a 
paper crown that some store was giving away.   After checking it out for just a 
few moments he was able to draw a very accurate picture of it.   His 
proportions were spot on.
     I am pretty sure he has no light perception at all.   Ann
