[accessibleimage] Re: TacNews

Hi Sylvie:

I also use Jaws (v5.0). You can read .pdf files fairly well with Jaws if you have acrobat v5, for example. Version 6 of the program can also easily convert .pdf to .txt format.
If I can be of any help with using .pdf files, please let me know.
On the other hand, .pdf files of image versions of texts are not accessible at all.
It is highly suggested that .doc files are also available, when .pdf files are provided.
Best regards,
Francisco Lima

Hi,

I really appreciate TacNews. But, I have a problem.
I went to the link, but I could only find the February 2006 issue in PDF
format. I am using a screen reader, JAWS, and it is very difficult for me to
deal with PDF files. I know that other screen reader users have this problem
too. So, I think it would be a good idea if the newsletter could also be
available as text-only online. That way it can be easily accessible to those
of us who have problems with PDF files.

Best regards,

Sylvie

Hi, Just got my copy of TacNews. You can also find it online at http://www.surrey.ac.uk/~pss1su/intact/tacnews.html

Also an excellent source for reports, papers and links.
