Hi Everyone,
At the end of this month, we at UF College of Public Health and Health
Professions will learn if our RERC on Technology and Successful Aging will
be renewed for another five years. If we get the grant, I will have a
contract for half time employment for five years. If we are turned down, I
will have no real job at all. Thus, I am seeking positions either as an
employee or contractor to either fill in the half of my time not covered by
the RERC or on a full time basis in the event we are denied our grant
dollars.
Many of you know my background, six years at FS as VP Software Engineering
and a total of more than 25 years of software development experience . I'm
very good at product management, an excellent writer, have terrific
communication skills and a lot of experience managing development projects.
I also have a good amount of experience handling off-shore, staff
augmentation projects from assembling teams to managing projects from the
other side of the world. I have done a fair amount of writing for
publication, both in academic/scholarly and in lay publications.
I am most interested in blindness related projects as that is where I have
dedicated my working and much of my avocational life for a pretty long time.
Compensation is negotiable but I do want to continue (for now at least)
working from my home in Florida. I am quite capable of travel (domestic and
international) when necessary.
Please call or write to discuss any possibilities . I can, of course,
produce a formal resume on request.
Thanks,
cdh
