Hi all,
I know that some of the folks on this list are Tiger embosser users, so I
hope that the questions I want to ask will be considered appropriate to this
list.
My Index Basic D embosser is getting old; it is 7 years old. I produce about
12,000 braille pages of lessons for students each year. This Index Basic D
needed repair last June, and now it needs repair again this June.
I am seriously thinking of upgrading to an embosser that can make better
graphics, so I am thinking of getting a ViewPlus Max Tiger Braille Printer.
I would really like to get the ViewPlus Pro because of its new capacity to
produce braille and print on the same page. But, unfortunately, the ViewPlus
Pro is a bit beyond my financial reach. So, before I make the investment in
the ViewPlus Max, I would appreciate comments from those who have used it on
a few questions.
1. Do you find the graphics and the braille characters produced by the
ViewPlus Max as good as those of the ViewPlus Pro?
2. How frequently have you had repair problems with your ViewPlus Max
relative to its use?
3. How quickly have you been able to get your ViewPlus embosser fixed when
it breaks?
And, I am wondering if anyone knows if ViewPlus has any future plans of
enabling the ViewPlus Max braille printer to work with a print Ink
Attachment?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
