[accessibleimage] Re: Question on astronomical notation

There's a useful looking article on Wikipedia. Hope you don't mind me butting in.

As for making them accessible - there might be some deep waters to go through there!

Subject: [accessibleimage] Question on astronomical notation

Hello Noreen:

Is there a standard set of symbols used in astronomy for stars, planets, moons etc. I understand that on maps, there are symbols for railroad tracks, various types of road signs, national parks and monuments etc. The reason for my asking is that VIEW is proposing to create 100 titles. We would like to have some consistency in our publications. Thank you.

Regards,

Robert
