[accessibleimage] Re: Maps with TGD

Hi Ann,

It's very simple to work with TGD Pro, the Qiktac and the TraceMe. I
never used the sound module. But I know that it's the "basis" to create
the TGD Pro. The most important is the support they can do for you. You
can write him, and they can help you. I'm using the TGD Pro and I'm very
happy.

Hi Ann,

TraceMe is one of the programs of TGD Pro where one opens jpg , gif
files
to make printouts that can be used for svell paper, but it also converts
the file for an embosser. Once it does this you can be open in a
seperate
window where the dots are very enlarged for low-vision users.
The gif or jpg would have to be opened in TraceMe and converted for an
embosser, saved as a .sig file. Qiktac, the other program in TGD Pro,
opens only sig and brg files where they can be edited.
This is a very interesting question. I believe Don Parkes aimed to make
it
accessible. Unsure about the speech screen reader.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Lisa
