[accessibleimage] Re: Maps PC

Hi Barry,
That was a very good idea about having a embossed map together with the
screen image. Do you do that with you photos? Think that must be very
helpful with persons that become braille users that they get used to
tactile images while viewing them on a CCTV. Also reinforces the image
through another sense, for a CCTV user. Sounds like a very good idea.
What about putting your suggestion to the group to hear if anyone does
this?

All the best,
Lisa

Hi Barry,
The maps are to be used by visually impaired students. They are scalable
vector graphics so that the viewer can enlarge, reduce, move them around
the screen and search after text in the map. So far also one can click on
one country and come to another map. Right now working on color contrast
for color blindness.
What would you say that the children in your courses find difficult with
images? What do they find useful?
Do you ever use a PC for displaying photos for those with low-vision?
Regards,
Lisa
