Dear All,
No Champagne or fireworks, I'm afraid. But I am now launching the new website
ECO: on Blindness and Arts
Thankyou to those who participated in the Beta version of this website; and
particularly those who sent comments for change. Please find the finished
version ready for browsing at http://www.blindnessandarts.com, with the brand
new design. I have yet to add the verbal description of pictures - I am still
searching for a verbal describer - but the accessibility features in particular
are much improved.
Importantly we have three new features:
1) Updated Gallery, which can be found at
http://www.blindnessandarts.com/viewpics, or through the java menu at the top.
2) "Some" news, although more would be greatly appreciated!
3) A Chat room, which is accessed through the link on the homepage, just under
the logo. Hopefully this will provide a "meeting place" for students, academics
and professionals, or a venue for Virtual Conferences. Please feel free to use
the facility, as it is free!
Please pass on this message to like minded thinkers in this field.
Best wishes and cheers to all,
Simon Hayhoe
