For people who will be in the New York City area in February, the following
show may be of interest. Some of the pieces in the show make use of
embossing (they will not however by available for tactile exploration). The
location of the show is very accessible.
Rand Huebsch
Limited-edition artist's books comprised of etchings and embossments will be
exhibited at the Donnell Library Center, 20 West 53 Street (opposite the
Museum of Modern Art), New York City.
Dates: February 3-28, 2008.
Hours: Mon, Weds, Fri: 10-6; Tues, Thurs: 10-8; Sat, Sun: 1-5
On display will be many of the books represented on the following website:
http://www.randhuebsch.com/books.html
There is a link on that site to an article about the embossing technique
used to make elements for many of the books.
