Dear All,
This is incredible. If I have understood correctly by
using the manual and program one can make ones own tactile
device
with moving pins to be used for images on screen.
I went to SourceForge and downloaded the zip file.
In it is the construction plans for the device
which uses piezoelectric actuators. The construction plans
are in German. The picture shows a device with 5 cells of
8 point Braille. The program is available for different
operating systems, MacOS X, Windows, AIX, BSD, Linux,
SunOS/Solaris.
I think this is incredible. Thank you David for sending
this on to the list.
Regards,
Lisa
