[accessibleimage] Re: Dream Machine

Lisa, What a fantastic question!!!

Some of essential, important and nice to have functionalities mentioned were
very interesting.
Can I ask more specifically:

1. How much are you realistically willing to pay for those
functionalities? (variable materials and elevation, cross-sectional and
longitudinal profile capabilities, continuous printing rather than dots,
etc) By 'pay' in mean both in terms of printing time and monetary value. It
would be interesting if you can mention if you're answering as an individual
or a company.

2. As a blind person, what functions do you have to have in order to
operate it on your own? Are you at all interested in operating it on your
own or are you quite happy to get the help of a sighted person whenever
there is a problem. (Paper jam, change ink, etc)

Regards,

Snir

Subject: [accessibleimage] Dream Machine

Hi.
Don't know if this is a futile exercise but thought it would be an idea
to put forward - perhaps not real practical The question is if we could
build a machine for making tactile graphics how would it be? What would it
do? What would be in it? What would your dream machine be like? Produce
great graphics and a cappuccino at the same time?
Some of mine are that it would be cheap, anyones grandmother could use it
and everyone in the whole world could get one, solar powered would be nice.
What would you like?
Best,
Lisa
