"as we close their eyes"
"some of the most original dance or drama in
town?Kunst-Stoff is stronger and more fascinating than
ever." - S.F. Chronicle
This is a work about adaptation, about the way absence,
deprivation, or unexpected shifts in capacity, can become a
doorway, offering access to otherwise unseen gifts and deep
abilities within the human body and the human spirit.
Join these two talented choreographers and an expanded
Kunst-Stoff as they embark on their journey with The
LightHouse, a vital institution in our community whose
mission it is to provide solutions for those living with
vision loss, and to promote the independence, equality and
self-reliance of people who are blind or visually impaired.
Taking blindness itself and their experience of training at
The LightHouse as their inspiration, the artists are
developing a work that expands the perception of dance from
a visual form to a tactile and olfactory experience.
