This is my TV provider. My husband is at CES-will be all weekend and I'm

Every January at CES, tech enthusiasts and experts alike make annual
predictions about key technology and gadgetry trends that will dominate the
year to come. When looking at 2017, it's clear that voice control will
continue to shine.

Over the last five years, there's been an explosion of speech recognition
apps and devices that let us surf the Internet, text, play music and turn on
lights, using only our voice. The speed and accuracy of this technology is
constantly improving, and now, more than ever, it's changing how we work and
play.

It's no secret that one of our primary goals at DISH is to simplify TV
entertainment. And it doesn't get much simpler than asking your TV to record
the latest season of "Walking Dead" or tune to your alma mater's football
game. So last year, we first incorporated speech recognition into our
service with the introduction of our Voice Remote

traditional remote control, this device interprets natural language to
search and control basic functions on your Hopper and Joey receivers. Just
hold down the voice control button (pictured below), and say what you want
to watch.

This year, we're taking our voice remote capabilities a big step further by
delivering Amazon <http://di.sh/a1pFnS> 's Alexa voice control on any Hopper
DVR. Using an Alexa-enabled device, you'll be able to ask Alexa to change
the channel or find your favorite movie, even with your hands full. Keep
hold of your phone and snacks while you're watching TV, and ask Alexa to do
the work for you. It's a multitasker's dream.

In the first half of this year, you can expect to navigate, search and quick
play TV content with Alexa based on channel, title, actor and genre. Here
are some examples of the things you can say:

.         "Go to ESPN"

.         "Show me football games"

.         "Tune to AMC"

.         "Play the Warriors game"

.         "Change the channel to NBC"

.         "Watch Game of Thrones season 1, episode 2"

.         "Turn on channel 200"

.         "Find Matt Damon movies"

.         "Find The Voice"

.         "Find comedy movies"
