Hi Peter,

She uses vista, uninstalling from the default programmes does not work either,
it still will not install a older version, it keeps on saying a newer version
has been detected. guess we'll just wait for the jaws fix. Thanks!

If she uninstalls anything refering to windows live from her add/remove
programs screen that will work. You can't have any of the windows live
components installed whilst installing the older version.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for this, guess she will just have to wait as version 9 will not let her
install an earlier version even if she removes v9, very strange! thanks also
to Chris and Hannah for their thoughts!

Yes this is a problem with v9. She'll need to install v8.5 instead. There is a
page to get it from but can't remember it. Someone on here will know though.

A JAWS update in march will fix this issue.

Hi folks,

Was trying to help a friend last night with the above, she is using the latest
version of windows live and JFW 10, within the edit field within messenger
typed words are echoed but incoming messages are not echoed and she has to use
the jaws curser to read them. Anyone else having this problem?
