Hi David.
We have a washing machine such as you describe, its the Hotpoint model WF541
and you can get it in a variety of colors or for a little more a brushed
stainless steel. It does have a digital control panel in line with the
majority of machines on the market these days, but programs, temperature and
spin speed are all adjusted by a rotary dial which clicks round for each
selectable function. We had ours brailed up as we have no sight whatever,
but I do believe that Hotpoint can also provide a high visibility panel with
well contrasting large print icons and text.
All the best and good luck.

Subject: [access-uk] washing machines
Hi
I know this comes up regularly, but I am looking for a fairly basic
washing
machine which is V.I. friendly. I do not need loads of programs, just a
no
frills washer, not a dryer.
I do not particularly need braille markings. Something with push buttons
or
clickable dials would do.
any recommendations on current makes or models would be appreciated.
David
