Trust me, Alexander.  It's quite safe to verify via Visa.
It's a very secure site.

Thank you for your reply.

The problem with the site I wish to deal with, is that they
imply that I 
need to somehow link verified by Visa to my card by
contacting my bank, 
which I would feel happier doing by going into a branch, and
obviously this 
is not possible until Monday.
