I pay monthly, though I imagine the software might be similar when the pay
as you go version comes out.

Yes, I understand that VOIP is blocked, though to be honest I haven't tried.

I've been very impressed with the speed as long as there is a good signal to
T Mobile's 3G network.  Otherwise it will try and switch to its second
generation network, which is obviously much slower.
