Hi all,
Via automatic updates I've received an update for the bios of my laptop. I've
checked the file name on the Toshiba site and it is genuine, as it expressedly
name the update to be for my laptop brand, name and model. It is zipped and the
instruction for installation state I can do it with Windows, Vista.
As anyone done anything like this without sighted help? Can I do it running
JAWS? if so, will the shark read all the on-screen prompts? Is it likely there
won't be any and it is just a case of unzipping the file in a temp folder,
selecting it and pressing enter, let it do its thing and it will be done
automatically?
Should I create a restore point before attempting this or isn't bios recorded
in there? or is this simply too risky to attempt this without expert sighted
help?
In the read me, it states the update will shorten boot up time, that would be
nice as it is much longer than on my xp running system.
Advice/comments very much welcomed.
Thanks in advance
Marie
