Hi Douglas, Yes, there is a version for XP, and there is even a separate version for XP 64 bit processsors. These guys seem to really go out of their way to optimize for the operating system. Not only that, when you buy a licence, you don't specify which operating system you have, as your single licence is valid for all the operating systems supported. For example, I bought a four user licence, I have three on XP, and one on 98, but I didn't have to tell them, I merely had to download the right version and put it on the machine. I am trying it out on an old Win 98 machine at present but if I decide to buy it I would want the one which would perform as well as possible on my main XP one. The latter seems to be grinding to a halt under the strainof NAV! Douglas On 24 Oct 2005 at 8:28, Steve Nutt wrote: > Hi James, > > I was definitely an F-Prot man, and still would be. In other words, it is still working on 16 bit code, and inevitably, as the virus database gets bigger, it is going to slow it down. But it was slowing this particular machine to such a degree, that I decided to try Nod32 on someone else's recommendation. GW Micro's actually, and as I have said before, I have never seen this machine run so fast, since I installed it. > > All the best > -- Douglas Harrison ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
