Adrian, on my laptop, which is also a Toshiba Satellite, I can adjust how often the fan comes on through the Toshiba Power Saver. Try that. Good luck.

HiI use a toshiba satellite laptop and I was wondering whether if 50 dg c was ok temperature wise. I have cleaned out the vents, the case of the laptop doesn't feel as if it is getting quite as warm. Is there any way to regulate how often the fans come on and cool the system and the cpu?I have installed speed fan, is this a good program? I have been monitoring the temperature, it is slowly creeping up.
