There's a setting in the General Settings which will minimise to the tray when you're not wanting to hear the TV and in this way the recording will continue. Give me a call if you're stuck.

Not necessaryly.

John, open the program again.  Hit alt f4, check the system tray.

Sometimes alt f4 in an app minimises it there.
