yes roger this is quite a good idea as you could buy a digital voice
recorder such as the Olympus DS30 to record phone calls. This keeps the
price to under £150 while giving you an accessible solution.

If you need professional quality daisy recordings or want to record audio
files from other sources on to CD you could consider the Plextalk PTR2.
this costs over £500 and can be reviewed as at least semiprofessional, so it
is rather expensive if you just want to record phone calls.

Depending ending where your phone is, you could consider options such as
using Goldwave or similar for recording on to your PC. It all depends how
much you want to record and why.

Graham

I bought a recording lead from Maplin Electronics for about £9 some while
ago. It plugs into the telephone jack point and the telephone lead then
plugs into it. The other end I plug into a cassette recorder but could
easily plug into a solid state recorder if I wanted to. To record just press
the record button of the machine and it's done. The simplest and cheapest
way I could find.

hi all, anyone know of a telephone recording device for recording your
telephone calls.
i dont want one with a cassette tape, but would consider one with a
continious cartridge. preferably i would want a solid state one, one that
uses either a recordable cd or a chip.
  thanks.
