Hi James,I opted for the simplest option, exporting and importing my address book to the new computer from the Files Menu of the address book because I'd already set up just about everything else on the other computers and the syncronizing was a bit more involved and may be hit and miss if you didn't know what you were doing, I thought.
I am still considering my options though for syncronizing on a regular basis and do wonder what others are doing to keep their address books in sync now that so many have more than one computer in the house. Surely some are doing it regularly ...
Please let me know of your best found methods folks and thanks, James, for your comments so far.

Hi Carol,You could indeed tell Windows to use a shared address book, but as you say this could cause more problems than it could fix if you are away from home, or if your network is down for whatever reason. So, there are 2 things that spring to mind. 1 is the files and settings transfer wizard, found in start menu, programs, accessories, system tools. This I believe cann copy the address book to other computers on your network. My second idea is the Synchronised tool found in start menu, programs, accessories. This can update your network when you logon, and you can tell it to update your address book as one of the items. Please note that I have not tried these 2 methods fully, as I don't really use the Windows Address Book, but it should work.On Monday, December 15, 2008 at 09:45 PM (GMT), Carol Pearson wrote: Hi all, We use Outlook Express on all computers in the house and I try to keepaddress lists updated etc. However, I know I've managed to put a couple of addresses into the laptop list recently (though can't remember which) and Iknow my desktop has some the laptop hasn't. All computers are networked and I am wondering if it would be best if theyall shared the same book, though this may be inconvenient if we're away fromhome with the laptops. Can anyone suggest what I should do now to sync my address list and keep itthat way with all three computers?
