Fear not, it appears we're both right!
Below is a snippet of the article I was thinking of.
Panasonic has just launched a range of integrated digital televisions that
can receive audio description. Sony is also releasing a range of integrated
televisions that will be able to receive audio description. These will be
available on the UK market between June and September of this year.
Not much to go on I know, but at least we can now start contacting their
helplines to try and get specific model numbers etc.
