[access-uk] Re: software firewalls

i've tried a couple times in the past and gave up because of it's
accessibility issues. it's also got a reputation from reviews i've rad of
being a resource hogger on some systems. i'm trying outpost at the moment
and it's seems pretty good. not free mind you.

Zone Alarm was certainly very difficult to navigate with JFW 4.51.131 back
towards around the end of 2003, although not impossible it must be noted.

I have used both Sygate and Kerio but come back every time to Zone Alarms. I

know they had a terrible reputation for being inaccessible to screen readers

but have heard they have improved no end. I use magnification and colour
contrast with my residual vision so don't have those problems but I feel
it's worth a trial to see if it has in fact improved.
