John,

When I used to conference on Skype years ago, I believe the limit was four people, but there'd often be a great deal of Packet loss after three people were involved. However, things could have changed with the introduction of newer versions, and newer servers etc.

Best thing to do really is try it, and if and when you've reached the maximum of parties allowed to take part in a conference, you should be advised of this. HTH.
