Hi you can change the sound settings in skype though. At 13:13 19/10/2006, you wrote:

Thanks for replying, Peter. But no he has only one sound card. Thanks anyway.

Hi, my brother is having the same problem - JAWS sound comes out of his new Skype phone handset. So I too would very much appreciate any help with this matter. I think as well, in my brother's case, that all the other computer sounds continue to come out of the computer's speakers. Only JAWS and the Skype conversation are heard through the Skype phone's headset.

TIA,
Amro

Hi,

I don't know for sure because I don't use a Skype phone but think you can continue to hear JAWS through the speakers by editing the JAWS.ini file. Think people on the jawslite list at blindprogramming.com know how to do this. Suggest you subscribe to that list and ask - look on www.blindprogramming.com for info on how to subscribe. If you don't get anywhere like that write to me privately catherineturner2000@xxxxxxxxxxx and I'll see if my brother can help because he uses a USB skype phone.

hi all.

am going to get the skype phone i bought changed for a microphone.

i've had several audio problems which is a pitty because i have got a usb us robotronics handset.

i don't want to give up but if anyone else uses a usb phone some advice on setting the sound levels so i can continue to hear my screen reader through my speakers would be useful.
