Hi Ian,

This is not quite true. Kurzweil of itself has no Braille support. When
you load Kurzweil, JAWS speech goes to sleep, and JAWS Braille driver drives
your Braille. To prove this, simply load K1000, then unload JAWS and see
what happens to your Braille.

All the best

Kurzweil bypasses Jaws when it is launched and drives the speech and Braille
output on its own account. =20

Hi all
Does Kurzweil 1000 scanner work ok for Braille users using power Braille,
and jaws?
And also what about Openbook scanner.

Those of you that have used both, which is the better system for Braille
users.

An old PC that I was using a scanning system called Oscar, has failed.
So not only do I need new scanner, but need a new PC, as I am told can't
use scanner with my laptop.

Regards,
Derek
