[access-uk] Re: rnib talking book library

Pele,

I have given up paying my talking book subscription and now only use
Bookstream. I almost always send for the cd, so that I have more choice in
how I listen to each book.

Hi Jackie and Everyone

I agree the Talking Book service is not perfect, but I think the Bookstream
service is great. You can either play books from your bookshelf on the
computer using Netplex software, which I have never done, or order the CD of
the book to be sent to you. The discs are the talking books. This means I
have total control of what I order as you can have five books at any one
time.

I know I keep banging on about this service, but I think it is worth telling
people about it as the fact that you can have the CDs sent to you is not
widely publicised.
