Hi Jim,

Go to the icon, right click it, or press the context key, and look for
options.  I don't know that particular messenger, but you'll probably find a
run at startup option.  Uncheck that box, OK and reboot, and the icon should
be gone.

Hi Steve,

I have created a my space account and I downloaded myspace instant
messenger. Since then, when I boot up my space wants me to sign in.  So, on
my system tray there is an icon labeled sign in. That is what I'm trying to
remove.
