Hi Roger,

I'm out of ideas, short of something locking the Registry.

Assuming nothing else is running that you know of, my best
guess is it has to be something along the lines of a
background program perhaps running from Startup.

Have you installed any new software or hardware recently?

I did a full scan with Registry Mechanic, Ad-Aware, SpyBot
and AVG and all came up with nothing. Any other avenues I
could try, please.
