Andy,

Whichever route you go is fine by me, so long as you get whatever suits
you!

One of the good things for me about NEBULA is being able to store and
catalogue programmes easily and bring them out for play on the computer
as simply as bringing up any file! <SMILE>

That's got to be worth something, rather than ploughing through a video
for a recording. It is also very simple to set the recorder on the
NEBULA and to check exactly what you have set.

I'm glad to hear the NETGEM seems to be going again though because it
looked for a little while as though it wasn't keeping up.

Jim - Any thoughts on where to look for the Netgem digital top box? and
which dvd recorder are you using that is accessible? Does the Negem
opperate a EPG, and if so, again is it accessible?

Carol was suggesting going the Nebula route, but I want to use this
separate to my PC, because my TV and PC are in different rooms, but I'm
still interested in wich offers the best accessibility, Nebula or
Netgem.

Thanks for any further info.

Andy

Hi,

Get yourself a netgem digital top box. Then get a DVD recorder from QVC
and your away. I have this set up and I can record AD from any freeview
channel that is broadcasting ad. And, now freeview netgem is bungling
netgem plus, you can get top up cards as well. Netgem is the way to go.

HTH
Jim.

Hi all -

On this subject of recording programmes [and not just audio described
ones] my VCR has just packed up, so I need to decide which route to go
for recording from TV.

Here in Devon, I can't have cable, and we don't get channel 5 [just to
demonstrate our situation], so I'm wondering what others might recommend
as the way to go, that would give me free view--I don't want to
subscribe to Sky, just don't have the time for all that viewing, but
like some of the free channels, but don't know if a free view box will
run off a standard analogue Arial, or if any of the freeview boxes have
a recording facility, or quite what my choices are for where I live.
Devon is part of the first region to be switching to digital in 2008,
and having recent lee bought a new TV, I don't want to have to splash
out again as soon as 2008 for a digital set!

All thoughts and suggestions most welcome.

Regards

Andy

I have the Nebula usb tv receiver which records with audio description.
I am running the latest version of the software and unfortunately have
managed to only record the second parts of two movies on itv tonight and
last Wednesday. Has anyone recorded the first parts of the bBourne
Identity and Star Wars the second episode last week. If so would you be
able to send it to me with HYPERLINK
