Hi Jim,

There are several ways of doing this, the good old fashioned way is with a
tape recorder connected to the phone line, Geemarc make a recorder to do
this, you would need to check to see if it still available. It worked by
switching itself on when the phone was answered and stopping when the
handset was replaced. Hagger electronics also sold a couple of models that
worked in the same way.

Another alternative is to use a modern digital recorder, you can buy
something that attaches to the phone and acts like a microphone, they used
to be called simply inductive couplers, but now they are probably have a
name with I in front of it.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] recording a telephone conversation

Hi List,

As the subject line suggests I would like to record, with the other party's
consent, certain telephone conversations.
Is there a gismo or a gaget
that I can purchase for this purpose?

I've contacted both RNIB and Cobolt systems and have drawn a blank.

Any suggestions?
