Subject: [access-uk] recently installed skype

Hi all:
Yesterday I installed Skype on my desktop machine.
Now, it is much slower when using Outlook.
Additionally, when the machine boots, and just before JAWS starts talking, I
have an additional sound which is a multiple tone, ascending from low/mid to
mid frequencies and ending in a 'pop'.

I have some additional Microsoft Office sounds installed, but never heard
this one before.

Can anyone shed any light?

TIA

David
