Hi John

Thanks for that. I went in and found the option in programs that said something
like Internet Explorer should check whether it is the default browser. I made
sure this was checked and it's still not working. Do I have to reset something
to make IE the default brouser as obviously what I'm checking in terms of the
box is purely asking IE to check whether it is the default browser and it
isn't.

Thanks.

  Hello Wendy,

This is probably because when you installed the BT software it sets itself up
as the default browser.

You should have IE set up as the default browser and then this may not occur.

A way of doing this is to go into internet options, either from the control
panel or IE itself. In the tabs on the top the last one is programmes. Check
the box which says something like "IE should check to ensure it is the default
browser".

Then, when you click on a link in an e-mail you should go to IE rather than
the BT browser.

Unless you want to use something specific in the BT Yahoo browser you will
probably find that IE will cover your needs.

Subject: [access-uk] problem with BT Yahoo

  Hi all

I wonder if anyone using BT Yahoo may be able to help with this.

Whenever I receive an e-mail with a direct internet link in it, when clicking
on the link I don't go straight to the site in question but into the sign in
page at BT Yahoo. It asks me to sign in and gives me the list of users
registered but there's no link to sign in with my password (it doesn't ask me
for it so consequently I can't sign in).

Is there a way that BT Yahoo can be bypassed to allow you to click straight
onto an internet link?

  Thanks a lot.

  Wendy
