Paypal's captch does have an audio option - as I discovered only this
morning.

...or alert www.benefitsandwork.org.uk to the fact that the need to
use Paypal can generate accessibility issues for some Benefits and
Work customers with visual impairments because of the captcha process.
They might then suggest work-round for you to subscribe to their
newsletter.

Subject: [access-uk] problem subscribing to info on the Benefits and
Work website.

Hi all,

I appologise for sending to both lists, but there is some information
on www.benefitsandwork.org.uk in there members download section which
I would appreciate getting hold of urgently.

I'm already registered to receive e-mails from
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk

However, as a result of a message I received from that website today,
I would like to subscribe in order to access information within the
members area, and this is where I'm having an access problem.

In order to subscribe, I need to access PayPal, which would not be a
problem if I could remember my PayPal password, but I've forgotten it,
and although I've tried to create a new one, and thought I'd
succeeded, PayPal have made the process both difficult and partially
inaccessible.

Firstly they want me to create a password which I do not use on any
other websites. This would not be a problem except that they want it
to contain up to 8 characters which must be a mixture of upper and
Lower case letters, figures and symbols, thus making it difficult for
me to remember.

Secondly, PayPal have a visual verification on the page where one is
offered the option of creating a new password, and although I
succeeded in changing my password once, when I forgot it and tried
again, I couldn't see the visual verification clearly, and there is no
audio option for the verification.

Therefore I am finding it difficult to subscribe to the downloads
section of www.benefitsandwork.org.uk Does anyone have any suggestions
on how I can accomplish the subscription process successfully online,
or any suggestions of how I might alert PayPal to the inaccessibility
of their visual verification and suggest that they should implement an
audio verification system?
