Hi
As George has already said, Windows 8 has not even been officially released.
Using it as your primary operating system is just asking for trouble. I
think the best advice is to forget about Windows 8 for a year and revert
back to Windows 7.
I constantly see people rushing to get the latest software and then
wondering why there are all kinds of bugs and previously working
applications suddenly stop working as well. It's best to be patient and
wait until new software is established. Where windows is concerned waiting
until a service pack is released is probably the best time to upgrade as a
lot of the initial bugs will have been ironed out ( well that's the theory )
Jaws 13 is soon to be released and there are still loads of bugs and
problems associated with version 12. They should concentrate on fixing those
problems before rushing out a new version that is completely unnecessary.
Seems to me that they are just trying to up their version number to compete
with other screen readers. Just like Chrome and firefox seem to be doing
presently. If you want to be one of the sheep that follow every new upgrade
then I'm afraid you will always have lots of computer problems.
Barr humbug.
Darren.

Hi Austin,
If you are on Windows 8, which is still very much a Beta, then either
DELL or Microsoft are really your only alternative for support.
It could well be a Windows 8 bug, and so probably best to report it to
Microsoft.
George.
