Have not thought of that. This might be a ridiculous question, but I will
ask it anyway. Do laser printers use no ink at all?

This is a question I would like the answer to as well. I keep mine going by
running a couple of test pages once a week when I do the weekly
housekeeping. But an attention free machine would suit me far better.

Would a laser be better I wonder? Most of my printing, well what little I
do, is monochrome so the lack of colour wouldn't be a problem and they are
around the price of a inkjet printer now.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Okay, so while we are talking printers, is there a printer which is easy
to
replace the ink cartridges? The one I have is very difficult, or at least
I
find it so, and it stops working within a few weeks of being refilled. I
imagine it is because I do not use it very often. It is a scanner as
well,
so replacing the two is not a particularly cheap option. I think my model
is the Epson 420. If anyone knows of a good reliable printer which is
happy
with only occasional use and can be fed with ink easily, I would very much
like to know about it.
