Have you installed Windows SP2? I had the same problem with my HP printer 
but it is back to normal after restoring my computer to SP1.

hi guys, I've just bought one of these USB printers, and have installed the
printer, but when i try to print something, i get only half the page. have
checked the usual things, but everything seems all right. Any Ideas what is
going on.
